Senior Analyst, Financial Accounting Systems

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Lead, Financial Accounting Systems, the Lead will be a key liaison in the sustainment of a company-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. The Senior Analyst, is a vital link between the finance function and the information systems function in the proper usage, sustainment and support of the company wide ERP system. In addition, this position is the point of contact for Finance end user support which includes, identifying issues, supporting business processes, coordination of Finance and IT resources to analyze specific needs and resolve issues involving various Finance modules.

This position is a 24-month initial term contract.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with any business support issues as they occur in a timely manner. Resolves issues and problems related to the platform and advance to appropriate support teams as the need arises.
• Prepare/build reports as requested by end users to fulfill reporting requirements
• Provide adhoc analytical support as the need arises
• Understand and assist with new processes and solutions which have been implemented
• Liaise with and build positive relationships with systems users and ERP support teams in order to provide assistance and guidance across relevant business groups
• Provide support to various user groups with the goal of transferring knowledge and expertise to the user groups
• Assist in project related matters as the need arises

Qualifications:

• CPA designation with a minimum of 1-2 years of post designation experience
• Experience in ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX/365, PC applications, sophisticated Excel and Word techniques. Familiarity with Consolidation systems and PowerBI is an asset.
• Ability to analyze, evaluate and resolve problems as they arise.
• Ability to prioritise and manage time well to meet tight deliverables within bold timeframes, including superb organizations skills
• Good intuition for business and understanding of digitized end to end Finance processes and familiarity with transactional best practices
• Experience and understanding of full cycle accounting, financial statement preparation and consolidation
• Experience with business process improvements, internal controls and SoX processes will be viewed as an asset.
• Experience in the Information Systems groups will be viewed as an asset.

Salary Range: $90,000 – $110,000

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
