Job Summary

The Team
The Hospital Services Branch is dedicated to supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare across British Columbia by overseeing hospital funding, planning, and services. The Role
As a Program Assistant, you’ll work alongside the Executive Assistant to help ensure the Hospital Services Branch runs smoothly. You’ll manage calendars, coordinate meetings, track project timelines, and support various administrative tasks to keep the team organized and on track. Your work will directly contribute to healthcare initiatives that improve the quality of care for British Columbians, enhancing patient safety, access to care, and hospital services across the province. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

• Secondary school graduation or equivalent, plus a minimum of 18 months administrative experience in an office environment.
• Experience managing executive calendars, scheduling meetings and booking travel arrangements.
• Experience in keyboarding, word processing, preparing spread-sheets and maintaining databases, and other standard computer applications (i.e. MS Outlook and MS Office).
• Experience working effectively and professionally with minimal supervision and maintaining confidentiality and discretion.

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:
• Experience using information tracking systems (i.e.: SharePoint, CLIFF, eApprovals, iExpenses, Records Management, etc.).
• Experience organizing meetings and events.
• Experience working in an executive office setting.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
