About the Opportunity
Coil Manufacturing is looking for a full-time Fabricator/Fitter based in Surrey, BC (Monday to Friday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm).
Reporting to the Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in fabricating and fitting metal components, ensuring they meet the precise specifications outlined in engineering drawings and plans.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Cutting and assembling metal using a variety of tools
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and plans
- Assembling and fitting metal sections and plates together to form complete units or sub-units
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Assisting as required
- Operating overhead cranes and other tools as needed
About You
To qualify, you will have 5 years of certified fabricator experience in steel fabrication. You must also have the ability to lift >50 lbs.
Ideally, you will have a Red Seal Metal Fabricator (Fitter) certification; however, a combination of experience and qualifications/certifications will be considered.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and plans
- Experience in cutting, bending, forming, and assembling metal
- Commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Ability to work independently
- Skilled in operating or willing to learn how to operate overhead cranes and other relevant tools
- Possession of regulation steel-toed safety boots
- Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic
