Walton’s is a Woodworking company specializing in custom commercial and high-end residential cabinetry in the Langley Area since 1986. We are dedicated to making our clients visions a reality by producing exceptional and functional custom millwork.
As a Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for producing cabinets and furniture items (installation exp. Is welcome but not required) for both residential and commercial environments. LIST OF RESPONSIBILITIES
- PROJECT EXECUTION
Ensure the project is delivered to the highest quality, on time and on budget.
a) Drawing Review – Read and interpret Shop drawings and specifications, preparing a cut list that accurately reflects project requirements while developing a clear scope of work.
b) Equipment Management – Setup and operate production equipment to produce components that accurately reflect drawings, managing production tasks by making efficient use of time by utilizing equipment
c) Materials Management – Work with a variety of different materials, including engineered wood products, veneers, and fine hardwoods, ensuring surfaces are prepared for the finishings department.
d) Assembly – Build custom millwork and furniture items, assembling components into completed units using fasteners, adhesives, and joinery techniques to ensure finished goods are completed to the highest quality and standard and are verified against the design documentation while implementing any changes that will aid in

e) Collaboration – Work with production staff to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality projects, establishing best in class practices while training and developing apprentices as needed.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
– 4 years of relevant experience as a fulltime custom cabinetmaker / millworker
– No specific education is required if experience is met
– Ability to coordinate and work effectively in a team setting with all levels of employees, contractors, and clients to deliver high quality results
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
– $27 – $35 / hour (to be negotiated) plus overtime at statutory rates and incremental raises as per company policy
– Benefits available after 3-month probationary period and include group medical, dental, vision, disability, and relocation loan if applicable.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
– Full-time, permanent position
– Typical hours: 07:00 – 15:30 / 06:00 – 14:30
