Job Summary

The Team
The Data Warehouse Services (DWS) team is a dedicated group of professionals responsible for maintaining and modernizing the HealthIdeas data warehouse platform to meet the Ministry’s analytics needs. As part of this established, 12-15 member team, you’ll collaborate with technical BAs, architects, developers, and project managers across various areas like operations, architecture, infrastructure, and audit. DWS values a supportive, adaptable environment where members can work independently or in groups on complex projects, contributing to the secure and innovative use of data for the Ministry of Health.

The Role
In this Cloud Support Specialist role, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to maintain and enhance Azure-based solutions, playing a key part in modernizing the data warehouse platform. Your work will directly empower clients to perform advanced analytics and data science in a secure, cutting-edge environment.This is an exciting opportunity to apply and expand your Cloud expertise, gain hands-on experience with Azure, and contribute to impactful projects that directly enhance the Ministry’s data capabilities. You’ll have the chance to grow as an Azure technical expert while shaping the future of data analytics.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Health Informatics, and a minimum of 1 years recent related experience; OR
  • A Diploma or Certificate in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Health Informatics, and a minimum of 3 years of recent related experience may be considered; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Recent related experience must include all the following:

  • Azure services configuration and implementation for enterprise level technical platform.
  • Demonstrated experience in technical solution design, configuration, implementation, and support based on Azure technologies.
  • Experience in application development and troubleshooting in Azure.

Preference may be given to those with experience in:

  • Experience in technical design, configuration, implementation, and support based on on-prem data Warehouse technical operation solution including support, and triage.

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
