Security Guard – Pemberton and Whistler

We are seeking experienced Security Officers to join our teams at healthcare facilities in Pemberton and Whistler.

Pay Rate: $24.00/hr
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, overnight / graveyards

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Conduct regular foot patrols
•Monitor CCTV cameras
•Provide first aid
•Manage lost and found
•Write detailed incident reports
•Respond to alarms
•De-escalate potentially violent situations
•Interact with clients and the general public

YOU’RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU HAVE:
•Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
•Strong English communication skills (written and verbal); confidence interacting verbally with team members, client personnel, members of the public, and emergency services
•A valid BC Security License
•A passion for being active, since your patrols may be indoors or outdoors, in all weather conditions, and can include stairwells, uneven surfaces, and parkades
•Physical ability to stand and/or patrol for the majority of a shift
•Confidence approaching and leading in emergency situations, including trauma, aggression, intoxication, bodily fluids, etc.
•A keen eye for watching and reporting irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations
•Basic skills in utilizing technology, including writing reports on a computer, tracking patrols in a smartphone, and communicating via two-way radios
