We operate national and provincial lotteries in partnership with 3500 retail partners, provide the games, technology & oversight to 37 brick & mortar casinos, and operate a safe secure and 100% legal online gambling presence PlayNow.com. In our recently completed fiscal year, BCLC generated a record $1.6 billion in net income to the Province of B.C. to support First Nations, local host governments, health care, education and community programs across the province.

The FP&A department provides the company with insightful financial analysis and presentations (translating numbers into insights and actions) for a social purpose company which includes three lines of business (Casino, Lottery and iGaming), proudly delivering over $1.5 billion in net income to the Province of BC annually, for the benefit of British Columbians.
The Role
As a Decision Support Manager specializing in project budgeting and forecasting, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the efficient allocation and utilization of financial resources across the organization’s projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers to provide strategic financial insights, enhance budgeting/forecasting accuracy and optimize forecasting methodologies. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to informed decision-making, drive financial efficiency and contribute significantly to the successful delivery of our projects on time and on budget. The implementation of strategic initiatives will be instrumental in achieving our long-term organizational goals and ensuring its sustained success.
What you will accomplish
- Detailed understanding of all project budgets across all divisions
- Guide the business on identifying financial risk and opportunities within large, complex projects
- Build deep collaborative relationships with the project management office, enterprise portfolio team, finance teams and key business unit stakeholders
- Anticipate finance activities for each project including updates for business planning and project performance management
- Enhance the company’s approach to financial planning and forecasting in project management to include time-value financial considerations
- Develop new or improved performance indicators for project reporting
What will make you successful
- You have a university degree, such as B.Comm, BBA, MBA, and an accredited professional accounting designation
- You have 6 to 8 years current progressive management/leadership experience in financial performance management
- You are designated as a CPA and have exceptional knowledge of financial forecasting, analysis and performance management
- You have project management experience and an accredited project management designation such as a PMP (or equivalent demonstrated project management skills and intimate familiarity with the project management lifecycle will also be considered)
- You have strong understanding of financial modeling, and the corporate planning and budgeting process
- You will have excellent communication skills, able to work collaboratively with stakeholders across BCLC
- You will have strong attention to detail and time management skills
- You are a critical thinker with excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- You thrive in an environment that is accountable to various senior leadership
- You have a proven track record of influencing and negotiating skills
- You have a high degree of business acumen, able to quickly get up to speed on strategy and business unit goals
