This is a hybrid role with an expectation to be in the Toronto office a minimum of 2-4 days per week

Performs required business analysis and testing on technical solutions to ensure that new product, process, learning program or other technical changes introduced to customers and/or employees meet business requirements. Reduces risk by finding and fixing problems in advance of production; helps projects achieve expected benefits; and addresses regulatory requirements.

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group.
  • Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
  • Develops and maintains in-depth knowledge of end-to-end business processes and project requirements through close partnership with business/group stakeholders.
  • Supports the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of business/group strategy.
  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
  • Designs and produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
  • Monitors and tracks performance and addresses any issues.
  • Collaborates with internal & external stakeholders to provide business context in the planning, design, develop and implementation phase.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Leads or participates in change management activities of varying scope and type.
  • Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
  • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
  • Supports and may contribute to communication and change management activities.
  • Perform and complete work with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Develop and recommend client focused solutions to routine and non-routine operational problems, incident mitigation and improvements that promote more straight through processing.
  • Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive business analysis experience, with a very strong usage of broad range of business analysis techniques in a variety of projects in banking and finance domain.
  • Experienced in supporting medium to large sized projects related to banking and finance domain. (Mandatory)
  • Demonstrates solid business knowledge of the Finance/Banking domain. (Mandatory)
  • Advanced Level knowledge of the business analysis, project management, SDLC, NA banking products and services and able to support the role of the senior business analyst throughout the project delivery life cycle. (Mandatory)
  • Ability to deliver necessary artifacts (User Stories, Process flow Maps, Use Case Specification, Business and Technical Requirements, Business Rules, and Mock-Ups) through the Initiation and Delivery Phase(s) of requirements delivery in mid-level to high-level complexity projects. (Mandatory)
  • Ability to work on Agile or waterfall / Hybrid Framework projects and work closely with Product Owners and stakeholders to analyze, capture, and deliver requirements, independently with least supervision.
  • Possesses solid business understanding and knowledge of the use of technology and applications in business and data migration.
  • Advanced understanding and use of tools associated with the role (e.g. Visio, Jira, Confluence)
  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Delivery Framework.
  • Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.

Salary :

$68,000.00 – $126,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
