Clinical Application Analyst, Pharmacist

Position Summary

Reporting to the Regional Manager, CIS Pharmacy & Imaging, the Clinical Application Analyst, Pharmacist, will help lead and perform the testing, implementation, support, maintenance, enhancement, and ongoing build/upgrade of the Clinical Systems for Medication Management. The CIS Pharmacist is recognized as a subject matter expert for their discipline and will work as an integrated team member to ensure collective best practices are pursued from a global perspective. The Clinical Application Analyst, Pharmacist will provide clinical system utilization support by investigating and resolving clinical application or related problems using site or vendor provided utilities or referring unresolved problems to the appropriate level. Communicates with ITS operational departments, NH clinical application users and vendors.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days – 08:00 to 16:00

Qualfications
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy [B.Sc. (Pharm)].
• Licensure or eligibility for licensure with the College of Pharmacists of B.C.
• Minimum of five (5) years experience as a Hospital Pharmacist.
• Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists (CSHP).
• Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Knowledge of the Clinical Information System.
• Ability to supervise.
• Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
• Ability to work well under pressure and on concurrent, multidisciplinary projects.
• Written and oral communication skills, including the ability to make presentations to groups.
• Ability to develop and deliver the training programs.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work.
• Demonstrated understanding of research methodologies, systems analysis, data collection, and statistical applications.
• Proficiency in Office Automated Systems (i.e. Microsoft Windows based products including Excel, Outlook, Word and Internet Explorer).
• Physical ability to perform duties of the position.
