Document Controller

Horizon Recruitment Inc. is conducting a search for an experienced Document Controller with extensive system administration experience to join our clients busy project team on a 12-month contract with good potential for extension.

The successful candidate will be the subject matter expert for the organizations document management systems (Aconex / Sharepoint etc.) and will manage all aspects of these tools across multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage configuration, set-up, user training / manuals and all user communications for Sharepoint and Aconex systems
  • Work with Project Managers, Engineering, Procurement and Contracts departments to find, organize and track documents within the document management system
  • Communicate with vendors and external stakeholders
  • Identify gaps in documentation requirements and filing conventions and reconcile to established control requirements
  • Build communication lines and relationships with stakeholders in the engineering, procurement and document management teams to meet deadlines
  • Manage version control and access to documentation

 

Requirements:

  • 10years’ experience managing document control within a construction environment; ideally with experience representing project owners
  • Advanced system experience with minimum 3 years’ experience in an administrator role
  • Strong English communication is required for interaction with local corporate teams
  • Super User level experience within Aconex and Sharepoint systems
  • Excellent administrative capability to organize, file and manage information flow
  • Well-developed communication and relationship building skill

Rewards:

  • $60-70/hr
