About the Opportunity

TKDN has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Executive Assistant role, based in Prince George, BC.

Reporting to the President, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-level administrative support to the President, Leadership team, and the Board, while managing a broad range of executive, project, and office management duties.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for overseeing administrative functions, ensuring smooth office operations, and coordinating meetings and projects for the executive team.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing and prioritizing the executive’s calendar, including scheduling meetings and travel arrangements
  • Preparing and editing correspondence, reports, presentations, and other required documents
  • Organizing and coordinating meetings and events, including logistics, agendas, and materials
  • Supporting special projects and initiatives by conducting research, preparing reports, and tracking progress
  • Overseeing office operations, managing supplies, and coordinating with service providers
  • Handling incoming calls, emails, and mail, ensuring timely responses and follow-ups
  • Exercising discretion and professionalism in managing sensitive information
  • Performing other duties and tasks as needed to support the executive and the organization

More About You

To qualify, you will need a Post-Secondary Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field, with 3 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role, ideally with experience working with international businesses. A combination of education and experience will be considered.

The following are also required:

  • Ability to undergo a criminal record check 
  • Possess a valid Driver’s License & acceptable driver’s abstract 
  • Willingness and ability to travel in-community per organization needs

The following skills and experience will be strong assets:

  • Proven ability in minute-taking and organizing meeting logistics, agendas, and materials
  • Developed experience in scheduling meetings, appointments, and coordinating travel arrangements
  • Demonstrated expertise in liaising with external vendors and stakeholders for project coordination
  • Extensive experience in conducting research, preparing reports, and tracking project progress
  • Proficiency in office operations, including maintaining supplies, managing equipment, and implementing robust electronic and physical filing systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and adaptability to learning new software
  • Strong background and experience in culturally diverse environments, including international settings or Indigenous communities
  • Skilled in communicating with a wide range of people, managing relationships with both passionate and challenging community members
  • Comprehensive understanding or strong interest in the history of the Tsay Keh Dene Nation
