Reporting to the Senior Operations Supervisor, the Utilityperson is responsible for general labour duties in the mill.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Work as the Mill general labourer, managing various duties as needed
  • Complete work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Handle all tasks in a safe and efficient manner, looking out for hazards such as heavy lifting, trips and slips
  • Various other job duties as asked by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Completion of grade 12 or equivalent
  • Effective written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to adapt to and work effectively within a constantly evolving environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong Organization skills
  • Previous equipment operation or industrial experience is an asset
