Job Summary

The Team
Be part of the dynamic Contracts and Procurement team, where collaboration thrives among our Contract Administrator, Finance Clerk, and two dedicated Procurement and Contracts Analysts, all under the guidance of our supportive Manager of Procurement and Legal Contracts. This established team plays a crucial role in supporting the Legal Services Branch by ensuring that all procurement activities align with established policies and directives. The Role
In this Contract Administrator role, reporting to the Manager of Procurement and Legal Contracts, you’ll provide essential procurement and contract administration support for a variety of programs and initiatives within Business Operations. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that contracts meet legal requirements and policy guidelines, confirming that expenditures are accurately charged, and offering advice to program managers and contractors on contract procedures. You’ll also coordinate the Request for Proposal and Request for Quote processes, prepare award letters, and maintain contract records throughout their lifecycle. Qualifications:
Education & Experience

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Experience in contract administration or procurement administration.
  • Experience with administrative, clerical, financial support.

Preference may be given for:

  • One (1) year or more experience in contract administration or procurement administration.
  • Applicants who have contract administration or procurement administration experience obtained in a public sector environment or similar.
  • Diploma, certification, coursework or training in Contract Management.
  • Completion of BC Government Procurement and Contract Management training (PCMP) or equivalent.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
A Criminal Record Check (CRC) will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
This position is excluded from union membership.
