We are seeking for a Senior Business Analyst to drive the design and delivery of technology transformation of the branch channel. The role requires a capable decision maker who works closely with business unit stakeholders and technology teams to develop innovative, end user solutions to meet the core goal of business needs in an Agile environment.

Success in this role requires you to work across functions, bringing together stakeholders to integrate technology across multiple channels, business groups, geographies and customer segments and ensure alignment with business goals.

Additionally, they have an exhaustive understanding of the company’s technology. This allows them to guide the product strategy and communicate them with the development team and hold together the technical and business sides of an organization.

What will you do?

  • Be a part of self-managed agile team focused on a designated branch channel transformation:
    • Creating and managing a Product Backlog
    • Develop user stories, define acceptance criteria and be available to the Scrum team to provide clarity whenever required
    • Organizing the backlog into incremental releases
  • Identify and involve stakeholders, centers of excellence, subject matter experts and end-users in Product Backlog refinement and backlog management activities •
  • Communicating decisions and priorities to all interested parties
  • Supports the execution of strategic initiatives with key business partners in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (Product, Technology, Corporate Support Areas, business partners, etc.)
  • Alignment with other Product Owners/PODs when needed from an overall product, company, or client perspective to ensure there is consistency across products and product releases •
  • Be an agile change agent – support organizational change management when required
  • Participating in daily Scrum meetings
  • Answering the team’s questions and providing clarity on User Stories Articulate and validate the Definition of Done, the Definition of Release and validate/provide acceptance on user stories once they are completed •
  • Chair Sprint Demo/Review sessions and participate in Retrospective ceremonies
  • Assess risks, impacts and manage dependencies across teams (Waterfall, Agile, etc.), including communication strategies and coordination activities

Qualifications

  • Strong Technology background 8 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience (preferably with a STEM background in Grad or Undergrad degree)
  • Strong consulting skills – make recommendations that meets end user needs and expectations, while supporting business needs/goals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively, develop solid relationships, manage differences, and influence change
  • A capable decision maker, influencer that can drive decisions with executives and stakeholders
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity be flexible and adaptive to change
  • Ability to work independently and exercise judgement
  • Ability to translate strategy, market trends, and customer needs into requirements and integrated, deployable feature sets.
  • A track record of building and deploying digital initiatives across mobile, tablet & desktop within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital technology user interfaces, UX design practices, usability testing and digital analytics.

Salary :

$74,800.00 – $138,600.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
