As an Assistant Shift Engineer – Third Class you will:

• Work under the direction of the Shift Engineer – Second Class to operate, repair and maintain a high pressure (600psig), high temperature (750 F Superheat), primary combined cycle, parallel co-generation thermal Power Plant with currently installed capacity of 2890 boiler horsepower, as required by the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Act and Regulations to produce steam and primary power; including the operations of boilers, feed water pumps, turbines, power distribution centres and related auxiliary equipment which changes as Plant operating and site strategies evolve, and currently includes:
  • 600 psig Boilers
  • 150 psig Boilers
  • 1MW 4160 volt turbo-generators
  • 1000 psig feed water pumps
  • (225 KW and 500 KW) diesel generators
  • 440V, 4160V and 12800V transformers and switchgear
  • 1600KW stand-by generators
