The mission of the Retail Technology Department is to design, build, deliver and operate robust, efficient and scalable Retail technology solutions that align with our strategic business and technology goals.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Aritzia is growing and our Retail Technology team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving Retail technology solutions. As the Developer, Retail Technology, you will play a pivotal role in the management and growth of our Retail business, ensuring solutions are optimized for scalability while seamlessly integrating with business processes. You will work cross-functionally across all areas of Technology – architecting, planning, developing, executing, and overseeing the enhancement and support of Aritzia’s Retail systems. THE ROLE

As the Developer, Retail Technology, you will:

  • Contribute to innovative technology solutions that meet business needs for today and tomorrow.
  • Help translate business requirements into scalable, user-centric technology designs for Aritzia’s Retail business.
  • Contribute to the development, configuration, and integration of solutions to ensure solution design intent is realized and works seamlessly with existing systems and Retail infrastructure.
  • Implement structured testing that ensures functionality and identify and address deficiencies.
  • Launch and proactively maintain technology solutions, collaborating with teammates to improve development processes.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Developer, Retail Technology has:

  • Proven and best-in-class skills, education, and/or applicable certifications in :
    • Integration development and APIs
    • Service oriented and microservices architectures
    • Java
    • Node.js
    • RMDBMS and/or NoSQL
    • Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment
    • Retail applications and systems, like POS and Order Management (an asset)
  • A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia’s Values and Business and People Leadership principles
  • The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
  • A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $100,000 – $150,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
