Job Summary

The Team
The IT Strategic Projects team within Real Estate Business Services Branch, made up of 8 members with a mix of part-time and full-time contributors, is driving innovation by piloting unique software and integrating it into the government IT ecosystem. Working closely with a diverse group of professionals, including administrators, project coordinators, directors, and vendors, we’re advancing digital capabilities within the division. The Role
As aSenior Product Analyst , you’ll be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the physical building technologies and applications, ensuring a reliable and innovative solution for BC Government employees. This is a unique opportunity where both your IT expertise and soft skills will be equally valued, as you contribute to a project with the potential to impact government-wide operations. If successful, your work will help shape the future of digital services across the entire BC Government.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Degree in Information Technology or related field and three (3) years’ related work experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Related experience must include a minimum of 3 years’ experience in each of the following:

  • Experience working on major IM/IT transformational project with deep understanding of interdependent IT components like firewall, network, servers, and authentication management.
  • Experience providing business analysis on high-risk projects, including management of financial and human resources, developing business cases and onboarding new clients.
  • Experience in change management processes and methodologies including stakeholder engagement and communication at all levels of the organization.

Preference may be given to applicants with one (1) or more of the following:

  • Experience in project management of complex enterprise IM/IT projects with multiple interdependencies including major business transformations, strategic communications and the oversight of system integrators.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment with User Experience (UX) teams, designers, and developers to iteratively create or improve digital products and services from conception to production.
  • Experience in the supervision of staff.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until 10/15/2025. This position may be extended or become permanent.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work 4 or more days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
The position headquarters will be Victoria, Vancouver, Surrey, Richmond or Prince George.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and/or temporary vacancies across the Ministry of Citizens’ Services.
