Reporting to the Supply Chain Management Superintendent, the Inventory Coordinator is responsible for supporting inventory control, analysis, and optimization within the Supply Chain Management team. This role is crucial for implementing leading practices in inventory management, reducing inventory levels, managing obsolescence, warranty claims, repairs and exchanges.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a courageous safety leader; lead by example and foster a proactive safety and sustainability culture based on Teck’s values of health, safety, environment, and indigenous and community engagement.
  • Analyze and manage inventory levels to reduce obsolescence and optimize stock.
  • Perform detailed analytical analysis to support inventory management goals.
  • Implement leading practices in inventory management and optimization.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Reliability, Asset Health, and Finance teams to support their inventory needs.
  • Mentor and coach the current inventory analysts’ team to enhance their skills and leverage existing resources.
  • Ensure compliance with data standards and governance
  • Manage and oversee CPG (Component Performance Guarantee) processes to ensure components meet performance standards.
  • Handle warranty claims, ensuring timely and accurate processing and resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary diploma/degree in a related field such as: Business & Supply Chain Management
  • SCMP designation preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, proven interpersonal skills and follow-up skills are required
  • Self-motivated and capable of working under minimal supervision and function best in high performance work environments
  • Experience in inventory management software & tools
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite?, especially Outlook, Word and Excel

Salary Range: $81,500 – $101,000

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
