This position manages the development and evaluation of major projects. Projects are taken from original concept through to final completion. This position’s primary focus is managing multiple major projects that are of local interest, have a range of stakeholders, and typically are short in duration (e.g., 12 months or less). This position supports the LSO 3/STO 27 positions for complex project management.

Job Requirements:

  • A Technical Diploma in a resource management related field.
  • Training in project management.
  • Experience managing multiple projects or leading a component (e.g., sub-project) of a major project.
  • Experience managing relationships with senior level stakeholders and leading consultation sessions.

About this Position:
There is one (1) permanent positionavailable. An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies
This position can be based in any of the following Ministry of Forest offices: Fort Nelson, Dawson Creek, Fort St. John, Prince George.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
