    The Career Guidance Program Manager will develop strategies and drive initiatives that help Coast Capital members and our communities grow their earnings potential through their careers and unlock financial opportunities. They will lead the development of the overarching strategy and approach and will be responsible for bringing the program to life through partnerships, community engagement, presentations, and content curation and development.

    What you’ll get to do:

  • Lead Coast Capital’s Career Guidance program for members and community partners. Develop, design, build, and execute the career guidance program to generate short-term, demonstrable results while holding a long-term overall growth perspective. Focus on building and delivering career development webinars/seminars to members and to Coast Capital’s community partners (non-profits and charities), developing and curating content (including blog posts, templates, resources, and pre-recorded webinars), and engaging external partners to provide one to one career support and services to members and community partners.
  • Scope and design the approach, roadmap and resource plan to establish a high-impact career guidance program at Coast Capital.
  • Develop and implement a career guidance program strategy, focusing on growing the program, driving measurable impact for participants and leading cross-functionally across delivery teams to implement initiatives tied to the strategy.
  • Develop strong relationships with Coast Capital community partners, partnering to deliver impactful sessions to their employees, clients, and partners. Work across the leadership team to develop and assess how career services can be incorporated into business plans.
  • Develop training resources and ensure regular communication to the lines of business on how to position career development resources and solutions to members.
  • Collaborate with Social Purpose Office colleagues and other lines of business to identify emerging trends, issues, and best practices.
  • Represent Coast Capital externally, presenting webinars/seminars and driving thought leadership where appropriate.
  • Report on program results, effectiveness, and accountable outcomes to support program design/iteration, demonstrate program impact and achievement of KPIs, and support Coast Capital’s purpose measurement/impact reporting.
  • Lead and participate in initiatives across the organization, providing recommendations and subject matter expertise on opportunities to embed career services into member experience and advice delivery.
  • Manage cross-functional working group to advance career guidance at Coast Capital and drive integration within existing and new initiatives.
  • Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related areas (Social Services, Psychology, Humanities or Counselling)
  • 7 – 9 years of professional experience with at least 7 years experience in a career development role or function.
  • Specialized Certification/Professional Designation: ICF, CPCC, ACC/PCC/MCC, or other career development certification.
  • Career counselling or coaching expertise (people management experience).
  • Knowledge of corporate social responsibility, social purpose, and shared value creation.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Office, Excel and extensive knowledge of all features of PowerPoint software.
  • Superb oral and written communication skills, including excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
