WSP is seeking a dynamic Junior Engineer/Scientist to assist on sustainability, climate change, greenhouse gas, air quality and noise related projects as part of the Atmospheric Services Team in Western Canada.

What you can expect to do here:
- Greenhouse gas inventory development, assessment of decarbonization options and net-zero planning.
- Field work including source identification, data collection, ambient air quality, meteorological and noise monitoring, (instrument set up, calibration, data acquisition and analysis).
- Preparing technical assessments and reports to support permitting and Environmental Assessment.
- Assisting with air quality assessments, as part of a larger group and consists of: emission inventory development, data analysis, calculations, atmospheric dispersion modelling and reporting.
- Assisting on multi-disciplinary projects with data analysis and reporting.
- Support the integration of sustainable solutions across various projects.
- A focus of supporting the resource/heavy industry sectors.
What you’ll bring to WSP:
- An undergraduate degree in a related field such as science, engineering, sustainability, with a focus on, climate change, air quality decarbonization, etc.
- Experience or interest in environmental consulting, in particular air quality, greenhouse gas, climate change and sustainability fields
- Coding skills to support digital and innovative solutions for our clients
- Strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills written and verbal
- Possess as valid driver’s license and the ability to drive as required
Compensation
Expected Salary (all locations): $60,000 – $82,600
