What & Why:
As a result of investment in technology, our client is looking to add an Information Security Analyst to their growing technology team.  Ideally you have a year or more of co-op experience and in that time discovered that cybersecurity is your passion.  In this role you will be the primary conduit for security alerts.  You will also work with the Information Security team to help monitor and operate cyber security tools, technologies and processes. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting with cyber incident response, promoting security awareness, and enhancing security operations and response processes. This is a highly collaborative team who really values teamwork, lifelong learning and prioritizes growth.

You:
You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

  • 2 years of Cybersecurity experience in security operations and governance.
  • Experience with security technologies, especially Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Network Detection and Response (NDR), Intrusion Detection and Prevention (IDS/IPS), Web Proxy, Secure Email Proxy, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
  • CompTIA Security , Blue Team Level 2 or equivalent security certification.
  • Good working knowledge of NIST or ISO and MITR security frameworks
  • Good understanding of ITIL frameworks and ITSM methodologies
  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or a related field and/or equivalent work experience.

Compensation:
This role pays between $45-60K per annum.
