Job Summary

The Team:
The Coast Mountains Natural Resource District is a dynamic and professional team of 20 staff, including a dedicated administrative team of three: a Resource and Contract Clerk, a Customer Service Assistant, and a Program Assistant. This well-established team works closely with other district teams in tenures, authorizations, stewardship, and engineering, while also providing front-line services to the public and other government divisions. Their work is crucial in supporting provincial resource management programs and delivering client services across a wide range of sectors.

The Role:
As the Office Services Supervisor for the Coast Mountains Natural Resource District, you will supervise staff, coordinate administrative duties, and support budget development and implementation, including managing purchasing and payments. You will also oversee facilities management, ensuring smooth operations. Your work directly impacts citizens by facilitating essential services related to natural resource management, such as licensing transactions for fishing and hunting. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent.
  • Experience providing administrative and financial support services for a group of staff.
  • Experience leading others.
  • Preference may be given to those with a combination of three (3) years of related experience, education and/or training (e.g. clerical or administrative support).

There is currently one (1) permanent, full time position available.
This position is located in Terrace.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies in Terrace.

The Coast Mountains Natural Resource District is a provincial leader in resource management through innovation, discovery, teamwork, and learning. Urban communities include Terrace, Kitimat, New Aiyansh, Stewart, Port Edward, and Prince Rupert as well as several smaller settlements. The District is home to the traditional forests’ related business lines, as well as hosting an intake level FrontCounter BC Office, and is considered to be a hybrid Corporate Services for the Natural Resource Ministries office, opening the doors to various Ministries across the BC Public Service.
