About the Opportunity

Accurate Fabricating has an exciting opportunity for a full-time General Manager to join our team in Surrey, BC

Reporting to the President, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire operation, including sales, engineering, and production teams, driving the company forward to achieve its growth objectives.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for leading the company’s operational strategy, developing team leadership, and ensuring the seamless integration of processes across departments.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Directing the day-to-day operations of sales, engineering, and production teams
  • Implementing and overseeing leadership roles for engineering, sales, and operations managers
  • Developing and executing business strategies to drive growth and profitability
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
  • Leading the company through operational improvements, ensuring systems are in place for smooth production
  • Monitoring financial performance and ensuring targets are met across departments
  • Fostering a collaborative culture that encourages teamwork, innovation, and high performance
  • Guiding the company’s long-term vision while addressing immediate operational challenges

More About You

To qualify, you will need 5 years of management experience in a similar industry, ideally within a metal fabrication/manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and business development. A driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract are required for this role. A combination of skills, qualifications, and experience will be considered.

The following skills, certifications, and qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Proven experience in leading and aligning cross-functional teams to collaborate effectively
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools, enhancing operational efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability in financial planning, budgeting, and ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting production goals
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring compliance within the fabrication environment
  • Experience in developing long-term strategies for company growth, operational efficiency, and profitability
  • Experience in building strong client relationships, managing contracts, and ensuring client satisfaction and retention
  • Ability to travel occasionally to meet with clients as needed
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (asset)
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing (asset)
