About the Opportunity

Burgess PHE is looking for a full-time Plumber based in Williams Lake, BCPart-time work is available for the right candidate.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in both commercial and residential settings.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the functionality and safety of plumbing systems, providing excellent customer service, and working on a variety of construction and renovation projects.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
  • Inspecting plumbing systems and identifying problems or areas for improvement
  • Collaborating with clients to assess needs and provide appropriate services
  • Traveling to job sites within a 3.5-hour radius
  • Performing welding tasks on pipes and fittings as required
  • Handling heavy lifting and physical labor as part of the job
  • Using power and hand tools to complete tasks efficiently
  • Collaborating with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and HVAC technicians, on construction projects
  • Performing basic math calculations to estimate material costs and project timelines
  • Providing excellent customer service to ensure client satisfaction

About You

To qualify, you will need a valid Red Seal Endorsement or be a 3 year apprentice in plumbing, ideally with 5 years of experience in commercial and residential plumbing.

The following are required:

  • A valid driver’s license
  • Access to personal tools
  • Willingness and ability to travel within a 3.5-hour radius

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Proficiency with power and hand tools used in plumbing work
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of plumbing systems
  • Experience with welding, carpentry, and HVAC (asset)
  • Class B Gas Ticket- or transferrable equivalent (asset)
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety procedures
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
