Job Summary

The Team
At Corporate Accounting Services, you’ll be joining an established team of 50-60 dedicated professionals responsible for managing the Corporate Financial Systems (CFS) for the province of British Columbia. You’ll collaborate closely with Ministry Chief Information Officers (MCIOs), Executive Financial Officers (EFOs), Chief Financial Officers (CFOs), and other senior executives to replace legacy systems with new technologies that improve government financial services for British Columbians. The Role
As the Executive Director, Corporate Accounting Services, you will lead a team responsible for replacing legacy financial systems with modern technology and architectures, creating a more efficient platform for ministries across the province. As part of this exciting journey toward cloud adoption, you’ll have the opportunity to enhance government financial processes within the Corporate Financial Systems (CFS) and integrated ministry systems. This position allows you to drive meaningful change, improve services, and implement best practices that directly benefit the people of British Columbia. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Completion of a degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in the computer science field. OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience must include seven (7) years or more in each of the following:

  • Experience in a senior management role at the Director level or above leading complex (i.e. enterprise-level) information technology system development projects and/or business transformation projects, including managing professional IT staff, project teams, and budgets.
  • Experience negotiating and managing information technology contracts.
  • Experience establishing collaborative relationships with senior leaders across an organization and leading organizational change associated with implementation of system changes.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Experience in management of enterprise financial systems (i.e. Oracle).
  • Experience in leading the implementation of cloud-based systems projects (i.e. Oracle Fusion).

This position can be based out of any of the location(s) listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 3 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
