Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, the Human Resources Coordinator (HRIS Data Entry) is responsible for entering employee information into Teck’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS) with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Enter employee data in HRIS systems (i.e., new hires, deductions, salary and position changes, leave processing, contributions, and terminations)
  • Digitally file employee documents on SharePoint using correct naming conventions
  • Assists with system testing and HR audits as required
  • Involvement in the application of Human Resources policies and procedures, salary and benefits administration, organizational communications, performance management and other project work as assigned
  • Draft letters and communications
  • Research and report writing as needed
  • Assist with HR projects
  • Participate in team meetings and training
  • Work closely with the team of HR Coordinators to engage in regular discussions and brainstorming sessions
  • Contribute to team projects and support colleagues in their tasks
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources or a related area of focus
  • Deep attention to detail and accuracy, as well as strong analytical skills
  • Proactive and customer service focused
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors would be considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Adaptable and flexible, as well as open to learning and trying new things
  • Motivated self-starter, able to work under minimal direction and be able to coordinate several tasks simultaneously
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and a high level of integrity
  • Spanish language proficiency would be considered an asset

Salary Range:$65,000 – $81,000

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
