About the BCLDB:

The BC Liquor Distribution Branch (LDB) is one of two branches of government that provide oversight for the beverage alcohol and non-medical cannabis industries in the province. The LDB is responsible for the wholesale distribution of liquor and cannabis, and operates the retails brands BCLIQUOR and BC Cannabis Stores.

Corporate Operations at the BCLDB includes our Corporate Loss Prevention and Real Estate departments. Real Estate manages all activities related to the leasing, construction, renovation, and facilities management of all new and existing LDB facilities, included head office, distribution centres, and all BC Liquor and BC Cannabis retail locations. The Corporate Loss Prevention department ensures the security of all BCLDB assets through physical security management as well as an investigative team.

About this role:

The Office Services Manager is responsible for the BCLDB’s head office mailroom, and central supplies services. As such, this position oversees and coordinates mail collection and distribution activities internal to both the LDB’s Burnaby head office and the organization’s 240 retail outlets. In addition, this position provides backup to the organization’s in-house Print Shop administers service contracts for photocopiers, fax machines, and related equipment and coordinates the acquisition of office supplies. A criminal record check is required.

Candidates must have the ability to move and lift packages of various sizes and shapes, up to 50lbs, on a regular basis.

Position requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • A diploma or certificate in business administration or a related field or a minimum of three years recent, related experience.

Recent related experience must have occurred within the past 5 years and must include the following:

  • Providing administrative services and office management support to a large organization (>100 employees/>$500K sales).
  • Managing a team of administrative staff.
