Who – the Company:
Our client, a growing Construction company, with extensive experience and a diverse skill set enabling them to take on projects of any size with various scope and a customer-oriented focus. Our client serves both local and global clients taking on all types of projects, small private renovations to multi million-dollar projects.

What – the Role:
Part Time Controller. Working closely with and reporting to the Principal, you will be an integral addition to the Accounting team. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Government non payroll submittals – PST, GST
  • Approval of invoices – 1500 per month all approved in accounting system
  • Month end activities including bank reconciliations, prepaid schedules, depreciation schedules, sub ledger to general ledger analysis, reconciliations
  • Month end financial statements
  • Recording cash receipts from customers
  • Revenue for three companies
  • T4 and T5018’s

Who – the Candidate:
We are seeking an experienced CPA to fulfill the role of a permanent part time Controller as our client continues to grow and expand. This unique opportunity will offer flexibility for a high functioning accountant. You will bring with you a mature and professional attitude, excellent communication skills, CPA designation, 2 – 4 years post qualification experience, ideally from a construction background or similar environment. Advanced user of MS Excel, Office suite and accounting software experience required.

Where:
Burnaby. This is an in-office role. Transit friendly location with an excellent company culture and environment.

How Much:
A competitive pro-rated salary equivalent to an hourly rate between $35-$48 an hour.
