Job Summary

The Team
The Education Projects Team is an established group that handles the packaging, receiving, and shipping of educational materials, ensuring students receive their graduation certificates and other essential post-secondary documents. The team typically consists of 3 members but grows by 10-12 as needed during peak project periods. They collaborate with auxiliary staff, Team Leads, and other R9 members from BC Mail. This team is highly adaptable, recognizing the importance of their work and successfully managing fluctuating workloads throughout the year. The Role
As a Manager, Education Sector Projects, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the distribution of educational materials, ensuring students receive their hard-earned graduation certificates and post-secondary institutions get the documents they need for new applications. It’s a dynamic position that offers a variety of tasks, so it’s perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work and not sitting at a desk all day. You’ll have the chance to build strong working relationships with the Ministry of Education and Child Care, while contributing to the success of students across the province. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Grade 12 graduation or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the supervision of multi-disciplinary operational staff.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of’ experience developing quality assurance processes in a high volume, fast paced warehouse environment
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience managing multiple projects or leading a component (e.g. sub-project) of a major project.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience participating in, or contributing to, developing projects from an operational business process perspective.
  • Experience in defining and controlling project activities to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, budget and specified quality.
  • Experience building and using testing methodologies and processes.
  • Experience with procurement policy and procedures.
  • Experience with Service Agreements, Purchase Orders and Statements of Work (SOW).
