Job Summary

The Team:
At Real Property Division (RPD), the Pricing and Project Accounting team plays a crucial role within the Financial Planning and Reporting Branch (FPR). This established team is made up of 8 dedicated professionals, including financial analysts and project accountants, who work closely with ministries and external clients to ensure accurate billing for government projects and recurring costs. With a strong focus on financial integrity and client relationships, the team’s commitment and resilience help support informed decision-making and effective financial management for the RPD. The Role:
In this role, you’ll handle essential tasks such as processing project and recurring costs for government buildings, conducting reconciliations, and developing annual recovery budgets. You’ll be responsible for reporting on project recoveries, monitoring client accounts, and maintaining accurate project accounting records. This position is crucial as it ensures clients receive precise and timely billing, aiding them in managing their accommodation budgets effectively. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Completion of first level of CPA program or equivalent plus 2 years related experience; OR
  • One (1) year diploma/certificate in recognized financial management /accounting program plus at least 2 years related experience; OR
  • Completion of Level 1 GFMC plus 2 years related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training may be considered.

Related experience includes budget, revenue and accounts receivable.

  • Two (2) years work experience with budget planning and reporting.
  • Two (2) years work experience analyzing financial data for variances and trends.
  • Two (2) years work experience using a variety of computerized financial systems and applications including MS Excel at the intermediate level, MS Word

Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Work experience with an integrated accounting system such as the government Corporate Financial System (CAS).
  • Work experience with a facility management system such as IBM TRIRIGA Facility Management Software.
  • Work experience using Access Database or Oracle-based financial systems.

There is currently one (1) permanent opportunity and one (1) temporary opportunity available until January 31, 2026, the temporary opportunity may become permanent.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
