About the Opportunity

Chu Cho Industries is looking for a full-time General Manager based in Prince George, BC.

Reporting to the President, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of Chu Cho Industries, ensuring that all activities align with the company’s mission and vision.

In this position, you will be primarily responsible for leading all departments, driving business growth, and ensuring the successful execution of projects.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Making high-level decisions regarding company strategy and goals
  • Reporting regularly to the President on company activities
  • Overseeing fiscal activities including budgeting and financial reporting
  • Implementing departmental policies and goals
  • Managing staffing requirements, including hiring and training
  • Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance in all business activities
  • Enhancing the company’s brand and reputation

About You

To qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or a relevant field, with 3-5 years of high-level leadership and project management experience, preferably in an industrial sector.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • Experience working with and for Indigenous groups
  • Proven ability to make sound judgments and decisions while developing and adhering to budgets and strategic plans
  • Demonstrated capability in setting and achieving goals and KPIs
  • Proficiency in using computer software, including Microsoft Office and Adobe
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to delegate, set expectations, and monitor team progress
  • Experience in motivating, inspiring, and providing feedback to employees
  • Proven effectiveness in prioritizing multiple projects efficiently
  • Extensive experience in project management within logging, heavy construction, pipeline, or oil and gas
  • Strong ability to develop and adhere to budgets and strategic plans
