Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Horizon Recruitment?Inc.?is seeking an experienced?Strategic Sourcing Specialist?to assist our client through complex vendor sourcing projects, Contract negotiations and RFP’s related to the expansion of the SCM function across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and manage opportunities for strategic vendor negotiations
• Work closely with a diverse team of internal stakeholders to gather requirements and create solutions to their business needs.
• Develop, analyze, negotiate and administer services contracts.
• Take a lead role in competitive bid processes, including RFP development, supplier evaluation and selection, contract negotiation and award.
• Responsible for the development and execution of best practice sourcing and contracting strategies and initiatives.

Requirements:

• University degree or College diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or other related disciplines
• Certifications such as Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) preferred
• Minimum of 7 years related experience, 10 or more years preferred
• Work experience demonstrates competency and increasing level of responsibility in strategic sourcing
• Experience in contract development and understanding of legal terms and condition
• Demonstrated ability in developing and leading sourcing and negotiation strategies
• Cross functional leadership and team development skills
• Strong computer skills including experience with SAP an asset
• Superior interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

Rewards:

• Competitive compensation package including performance bonus, strong extended benefits package and target base salary of $100,000.
