The credit union operates under a new legal name, with a commitment to cooperative principles and community development. They provide personal and commercial banking, insurance, and wealth management services through multiple branches across the province.

What- the Role: 
On behalf of our client, SWIM is seeking a new Payroll Administrator. Reporting into an experienced Payroll Manager and working on a team of 4. The new Payroll Administrator will be responsible for payroll and benefits administration for BC-based employees using various payroll systems. SWIM will share a detailed job description with interested candidates.

Who- the Candidate: 
We are seeking candidates with at least 3 years in payroll administration, preferably within large organizations (1,000 employees).
Qualified candidates will have experience with:

  • Managing payroll processes for a diverse employee population of 1,000 across multiple locations in BC.
  • Administering benefits, including enrolment, changes, and reconciliation, with a focus on Sunlife’s flexible benefit plan.
  • Assisting with the integration of two HRIS systems, ensuring a smooth transition and data accuracy.
  • Working with UKG systems, including Ready for time and attendance, to manage payroll operations.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to address payroll and benefits inquiries.

Where: 
The Payroll Administrator can choose to work fully remotely or from their Burnaby office, with the opportunity for a hybrid schedule. This role offers a great foot in the door at a time of significant change, with new roles and opportunities expected as the organization continues to grow.

How Much:
Offering an hourly rate in the range of $31.00 – 46.00. If the role goes permanent the base salary is expected to be in the range of $56,000 – $85,000, in addition to this the compensation package includes excellent extended health and dental benefits through Sunlife, a 10.5% RRSP matching program, 3 weeks of vacation and a discretionary bonus starting next year.
