Sales Administrative Assistant

Who – the Company:
Our client has been a leader in manufacturing and exporting high-quality building materials since the 1960s. Renowned worldwide for their superior offerings, they are also rapidly gaining a reputation as an industry leader in wood products for roofing.

What – the Role:
Our client is seeking a new employee for their busy office. This is a multifaceted position that provides comprehensive administrative support to the Sales Manager. The role encompasses light accounting duties, reception, logistics and freight forwarding, as well as general administrative tasks. Additionally, you will assist the safety department. You will work closely with the President & Sales Manager, and other mill staff.

• Answering and re-directing incoming phone calls.
• Accounting duties such as invoicing, journal entries and AP/AR.
• Preparing outgoing shipments.
• Ordering supplies.
• Projects surrounding health and safety.
• Other ad hoc administrative duties.

Who – the Candidate:
We are seeking a highly reliable and loyal individual with 2 years of experience in a similar industry sector, such as building materials, windows, trucking, construction, or manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be professional, friendly, and dependable, with excellent time management and organizational skills.

• 2 years of administrative experience, ideally supporting a sales department.
• Proficiency in MS Office and experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks or Sage 50.
• Professional phone manner.
• Experience in freight forwarding will be considered an asset.

Where:
Nestled between the Fraser River and Golden Ears Mountain, this role is best suited for individuals who live in the Mission, Maple Ridge, Abbotsford and possibly Pitt Meadows and Surrey, Port Kells and Walnut Grove area.

Public transit is not available, so having a car is essential.

How Much:
Base salary will be commensurate with experience, education, and skills, and could range anywhere from $50,000 to $55,000. Additionally, they extended health benefits coverage. Please discuss your base salary and total compensation expectations in more detail with SWIM.
