WSP is currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Ground Engineering and Materials Team based in Terrace, BC. You will join our highly successful team, using your skills to assist in the execution of various high-profile and critical projects throughout BC and Yukon.

What you can expect to do here:
- Perform geotechnical investigations for buildings, highways, bridges, retaining walls, slope stability, and municipal infrastructure;
- Coordinate and carry out field review of construction works and material testing of geotechnical materials;
- Assist senior team in preparing proposals and technical reports;
- Conduct geotechnical engineering analysis.
What you’ll bring to WSP:
- Graduate degree in Geo-Engineering discipline such as Geotechnical Engineering or Geological Engineering;
- Preference for experience in Geo-engineering field in Canada (not essential);
- Eligible to register for EIT status with EGBC (or is in the application process); and,
- Prior experience in consulting geotechnical engineering is considered an asset.
We’d love to hear from you if you have…
- Valid BC Driver’s License;
- Strong technical, oral and written communication skills;
- Experience working in remote worksites including forestry, mining, or other industrial applications,;
- Exceptional analytical and project management skills; and,
- Ability to work well with senior direction, under pressure, meet deadlines and cooperate with a team in various environment.
Compensation
Expected Salary (British Columbia): $60 000 – $82 600
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. The salary range provided in this job posting may be subject to change for business purposes.
