Job Summary

The Team
The Business Planning and Engagement (BPE) team is a small, established group led by a director and coordinator. This team plays a key role in aligning divisional plans with ministry and government priorities, supporting staff engagement, and fostering clear communication across the division. By working closely with divisional leadership, committees, human resources, and communications teams, the BPE team helps ensure that every team member understands their role in delivering excellent service to British Columbians. With a diverse portfolio and dynamic responsibilities, this adaptable team thrives on variety and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact daily.

The Role
As a Project and Engagement Coordinator on the Business Planning and Engagement (BPE) team, you’ll guide project management processes and ensure each project follows the highest standards. You’ll create templates and track systems, manage project documentation, and develop key resources that keep projects on track. You’ll also help plan, coordinate, and communicate initiatives across the division, supporting internal communication, workforce planning, and staff engagement activities. This role directly impacts how divisional staff connect their work to ministry priorities, helping build an informed, engaged, and service-focused workforce for the people of British Columbia. This is an ideal role if you’re looking to grow your skills in project management and engagement in a meaningful way.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent plus post-secondary coursework in strategic planning, project management or communications.
  • Two years of related experience. Related experience must include two or more of the following:
    • Experience providing administrative support to project teams.
    • Experience leading projects or project components.
    • Experience developing a wide range of communications for diverse audiences.
    • Experience coordinating meetings, events and engagement activities for a large organization (200).

Preference may be given to candidates with:

  • Experience writing business and executive communication materials and knowledge of communications principles and techniques.
  • Experience using website preparation, graphic design software, or content management system(s) such as CMS Lite, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop or Illustrator.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until December 31, 2025. This position may be extended or become permanent.
Remote work is allowed, this position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved telework agreement. The locations listed above are to assist applicants in searching for this opportunity and are not a complete list of locations.
