POSITION SUMMARY

Employees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia (Assembly) provide professional non-partisan services to support the democratic institution of Parliament and its members through procedural advice, administrative support and information services. The Assembly is an autonomous employer, separate from the administrative framework of B.C. government ministries and agencies.

The Precinct Services department is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and solution-focused individual for the auxiliary full-time position of Building Maintenance Technician.

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, the Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting routine maintenance and inspections to ensure building functionality, completing minor repairs on building systems and equipment, ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of tools and equipment, and assisting skilled trades employees in various maintenance tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must be/have:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in building maintenance, construction, or a related field.
  • Valid BC driver’s license.
