As a Digital Product Manager for APIs and Embedded Banking, you’ll be accountable for developing and managing the strategy, roadmap, adjacent business opportunities and bringing our API and embedded banking portfolio to life. We have a unique opportunity to build experiences of the future from the ground up, while building differentiated digital experiences for clients. What will you do?

  • Define and execute the API product strategy, roadmap, and prioritization, aligned with business goals.
  • Gather insights from customers, market trends, and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for new API enhancements.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and drive product development of critical projects from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products that improve our Embedded Banking customer experiences.
  • Work with our customers, business, and developer teams to develop a deep understanding of their needs and how to enable them to bring our API and Embedded Banking solutions to them as quickly as possible.
  • Prioritize and sequence product launches based on the needs of our customers, developer community, internal stakeholder groups and the evolving competitive landscape.
  • Develop the enhancements required to drive adoption and address customers’ needs.
  • Design scalable pricing models that can adapt based on how our solutions are being used by our customers / partners.
  • Champion adoption and promote our products value proposition to stakeholder groups including internal sales teams, customers, and developers.
  • Define, monitor, and act on performance metrics to measure the impact on overall business objectives.
  • Develop (and evolve) target operating and service models.
  • Identify emerging technologies and industry trends, especially related to developer products (APIs, SDKs, etc.) to push our product experience to the next level.
  • Broader work accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5 – 7 years of product management experience working as a product owner responsible for developing tools and systems for external client host to host, API or file channel integrations.
  • Strong Product Management background – Adept in Human Centered Design, Strong understanding of technical concepts and strong business acumen
  • In-depth experience in product strategy, and business case management – especially around business models powered by APIs, strongly preferred.
  • A high level of curiosity, comfort with ambiguity and willingness to challenge the status quo, perspectives on how technology influences the future of banking and customer experience.
  • Proactive – Always looking for and acting on white spaces and new growth opportunities for the business
  • Decisive – Ability to consume and interpret relevant data to drive product decisions / recommendations in a timely manner.
  • Ability to translate strategy, market trends, and customer needs into requirements and integrated, deployable feature sets.
  • A track record of building and deploying digital initiatives across mobile, tablet & desktop within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital technology user interfaces, UX design practices, usability testing and digital analytics.
  • Experience leading Agile teams and/or working in cross-functional teams.
  • Verbal & written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, influence Skills.
  • Collaboration & team skills; with a focus on cross-group collaboration.

Salary :

$74,800.00 – $138,600.00

The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
