Job Summary

The Team
CyberBC is an established team working with broader public sector organizations to enhance their cybersecurity posture. The team collaborates with professionals across disciplines to develop strategies, identify vulnerabilities, and minimize risks, safeguarding partners from cyber threats. With a team of 8 reporting to a director, this role oversees two direct reports, including one who manages a team of 13. The work CyberBC does has a significant impact, preventing cyber incidents and fostering a culture of security across the public sector.

The Role
As Senior Product Manager for CyberBC, you’ll lead a team dedicated to enhancing cybersecurity across the public sector. You’ll guide the development of enterprise-wide tools, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and prioritize innovations that protect sensitive data and services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on public safety while fostering collaboration and continuous learning in an Agile environment. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in a technology discipline or project management, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in product design and practices gained working in a product, project, or service capacity for over 5 years.
  • Experience of current agile project management practices, open source, cloud platforms and digital services.
  • Experience in project management at the enterprise level.
  • Experience managing complex enterprise IM/IT projects with multiple interdependencies including major business transformations, strategic communications, and the oversight of system integrators.
  • Experience managing change.
  • Experience in a leadership role in the successful delivery of digital products or services; successful design, delivery and ongoing management of high-quality services which maximized opportunities offered by digital technology.
  • Experience in analyzing and using customer insight and user and performance data to design and continually improve digital services to fully meet user needs in a convenient and straightforward way.
  • Experience interpreting user data and feedback to design and implement channel shift strategies to move users from traditional to digital delivery channels.
  • Experience working in an agile, digital product focused development environment with User Experience teams, designers, and developers to iteratively create and improve digital products and services.
  • Experience with related UX practices and skills, including content design, content strategy and information architecture.

Preferences:

  • Experience supervising staff in union positions.
  • Experience working with BC Government’s Digital Framework and Digital Principles and Policy Chapter 12: IM/IT Management.
  • Experience with leadership in digital government initiatives.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until November 30, 2025. This position may be extended or become permanent.
