As our Site Supervisor at this busy university campus in North Vancouver, you will be responsible for the supervision and direction of all site assigned officers, the training and orientation of all new officers, and maintaining the daily operation of the site schedule and special coverages.

Your customer service skills will be essential in this role, and the ability to plan and multitask while leading a dynamic team.

Shifts: Monday – Friday, 0700-1500hrs (occasionally 0900-1700hrs instead)
Pay Rate: $27.00/hour

Responsibilities:
•Ensure the Security team delivers excellent customer service
•Follow up and solve customer/client concerns and queries
•Maintain and enforce all Paladin and client policies and procedures on site and ensure the highest standard of our security program on site (ex. dress and deportment, quality of daily reports and incident reports, etc.)
•Supervise and support all officers with responsibilities delegated to them
•Ensure all officers submit daily and incident reports; follow up with inaccuracies or omissions
•Review all site Incident Reports and escalate incidents as required
•Liaise with client representatives, while representing Paladin Security with the utmost professionalism
•Conduct site orientation and training of new officers, ensuring site orientation packages and officer review tests are completed within the allotted training period
•Monitor performance of officers; provide accolades or discipline as needed and document accordingly
•Maintain site and training schedule, ensuring that all shifts are covered and assisting with shift coverage where needed
•Ensure all officers meet the training requirements of the site
•Accept after-hours’ phone calls and will be the site officer’s first contact during phoned questions for site management
•Arrange coverage for any open shifts due to last minute book offs, medical emergencies, etc.
•Ensure all officers have read, understood, and signed Paladin’s Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures
•Ensure all OHS incidents are reported and resolved in a timely manner
•Perform other duties as required to meet operational needs
Requirements:
•Minimum of one year of work experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the security industry
•Must hold a valid OFA2 certificate, or be willing and able to complete this training immediately upon hire
•Effective and professional communication, both written and verbal, including presentations to groups
•Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); working knowledge of WinTeam is an asset
•Professionalism in all situations, utilizing interpersonal skills and client service
•Excellent problem-solving, organization, and planning
•Comprehensive knowledge of access control, fire control, CCTV, and other site-related systems
•Working knowledge of appropriate legislation and provincial/national standards on fire safety, building codes, security, and protection of privacy
•Strong leadership, delegation, and supervision
•Ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic environment
•Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
