Job Summary

The Team

The Collection Loan Management Team (CLMT) is made up of two established sub-teams: Revenue Services of British Columbia (RSBC) with 40 members, and the Collection Loan Management Group (CLMG) with 21 members. You’ll collaborate closely with Collection Officers, Senior Revenue and Collections Analysts, and Senior Collection Officers, all working together to support British Columbians with repayment and loan management services. The Role

In this role, you’ll work in a high-volume call center, handling escalated calls related to financial and collection issues across various programs. You’ll be responsible for negotiating payment arrangements, issuing refunds, and reviewing adjustments under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. Your work directly impacts citizens by helping to reduce receivables, which funds important government programs. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school diploma and 5 years’ related work experience.

Related experience must include the following:

  • 5 years’ experience providing customer service in a public facing role.
  • 2 years’ experience in a collections, enforcement, or financial role.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

  • Experience performing financial transactions in an accounts receivable/payable role.
  • Experience working in a collections call centre environment
  • Experience working with difficult or highly contentious clients.
  • Experience working with relevant provincial/federal legislation, regulations, or policies

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home a few days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
This is for (1) permanent opportunity and up to 4 long term temporary appointments located in Victoria..
