Marketing Manager – Game Development

Location: Victoria, BC
On behalf of our game development client, we are looking to hire a Marketing Manager to support their game’s player engagement and retention strategies on a 1 year maternity contract. You will be involved in developing strategies and implementing programs to activate, engage, retain, cross-sell and increase customer LTV for our portfolio of successful mobile games. You will develop end to end promotional and lifecycle-based communication programs reaching multiple customer segments across social media channels, email and mobile, assess performance, and optimize. Partnering with internal teams to navigate strategy and execution will be a key tenant of this role.

Key activities and deliverables:

    • Provide operational planning and execution for CRM programs
    • Leverage our CRM platform to develop cross-channel customer journeys using user segmentation and leveraging dynamic/triggered messaging to optimize campaign responsiveness
    • Work in partnership with Product Manager, as well as broader teams to develop and implement end-to-end journey and lifecycle campaigns which include campaign planning and design, targeting, list management, campaign health monitoring, and post campaign analysis
    • Work in partnership with Data Analytics team to create reporting that measures campaign effectiveness and channel level impact

Qualified candidates will have:

    • 5 years of experience in CRM / direct marketing experience in a multi-faceted and creative environment
    • Experience with a major Customer Engagement platform
    • Experience with start to finish planning, executing multi-channel direct marketing CRM programs including social media, email, mobile push and in app messaging
    • Analytical thinker with a can-do, problem-solving attitude and a depth of knowledge in analytics, campaign tracking, and ROI metrics
    • Excellent project management skills with a bias towards action against goals, on-time delivery, and operational excellence
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred candidates will have:

    • Experience in mobile gaming or lifecycle based business
    • Experience with Leanplum/Clevertap
    • Experience with A/B and multivariate testing
    • Experience with Mobile User Acquisition
    • Experience with ASO
