About the Opportunity

Lorval Capital Management is looking for a?full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist?based in?Langley, B.C.

Reporting directly to the Director, Human Resources, this role is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and selecting top-tier candidates. You will develop and implement effective recruitment strategies, build a strong talent pipeline, and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborating with hiring managers to conduct job analyses and define job requirements
  • Developing and executing recruitment strategies in consultation with senior HR personnel
  • Sourcing qualified candidates through job boards, networking sites, social media, and other channels
  • Building strong relationships with active and passive candidates for current and future opportunities
  • Providing full-cycle recruitment support, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and assessing candidates
  • Acting as the primary contact for external recruitment agencies and consultants
  • Conducting and administering reference verifications
  • Maintaining accurate employee records in the HRIS and ensuring compliance with data protection laws
  • Preparing Human Resources documentation, including offer letters and job descriptions
  • Monitoring and analyzing recruitment metrics to continuously improve the talent acquisition process
  • Serving as the key point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees and management
  • Supporting employee relations, recognition programs, and team-building activities
  • Staying informed on industry trends and emerging recruitment technologies

About?You

To qualify, you will need a?diploma or degree in Human Resources?and a?minimum of 3 years experience?in a related role, ideally within the manufacturing, production, or construction industries. Experience with social media recruitment and proficiency in an HRIS Applicant Tracking System (preferably DayForce) will also be essential.

Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:

  • RPR, CTXP, or CPHR certification in good standing is an asset?
  • Experience within unionized and non-unionized settings?
  • Experience with employer branding?
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing applicants and conducting trend analysis
