As our Security 2iC / Site Coordinator, your main responsibilities will be conducting compliance audits and quality assurance, KPI reporting, along with providing access control and security services at this busy export terminal in Delta. Your excellent communication and leadership experience will be essential for success in this high profile position.

This role is based in the security office, where you will be monitoring cameras, access control systems, and fire systems, and providing support to the Supervisor for administrative duties, including maintaining the site schedule, following up with officers regarding compliances, and arranging training.

Pay Rate: $30.33/hour
Shifts: Monday-Friday, 0530-1330hrs. Please note that public transit is not available at the shift’s start time, so you must have a reliable personal vehicle for this position.

Requirements:
•Minimum one year of work experience as a supervisor or manager, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment (ex. security, retail, or food service industry)
•Minimum one year of work experience in the security industry
•Class 5 BC Driver’s License and reliable personal vehicle
•Excellent communication, customer service, and professionalism
•Confidence approaching and leading in emergency situations, including trauma, aggression, etc.
•A keen eye for watching and reporting irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations
•Proficiency with access control, fire systems, CCTV, and other security-related systems
•Strong computer proficiency, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities:
•Administrative tasks, including maintaining the site schedule, arranging training for site Officers, auditing equipment inventory, etc.
•Monitor and respond to emails, incidents, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
•Monitor CCTV cameras and control access to regulated areas; this includes audits of incoming buses and exterior access requests
•Attend incidents, de-escalate situations, write detailed reports, and communicate any issues to Supervisor, Manager, and client as required
•Interact with clients and the general public, providing excellent customer service
•Other duties as required to meet operational needs

Certification Requirements (All)

Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License
