Job Summary

The Team
The Okanagan Shuswap District Corporate Services Team is an established and close-knit group of five members, including a supervisor and specialists in client service, records, contracts, and authorizations. This team plays a key role in supporting the District’s operations, acting as the first point of contact for the public and managing crucial administrative functions. The Role
The Authorizations Administrator role involves administering authorizations, managing legal conveyances, and processing resource applications, making key decisions about Crown interests, tenures, licenses, and agreements. You’ll provide essential guidance on legislation and policies while responding to inquiries from the public and internal stakeholders. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in a related field such as legal assistant, public administration or business administration or a minimum of grade 12 graduation or equivalent with four years’ experience as a legal assistant, public administrator or business administrator
  • Experience in explaining policies and legislation
  • Experience reading and understanding legal documents
  • Experience working in a customer service delivery program and dealing with a diverse range of clients and community partners

Preference statement(s)

  • Preference may be given to applicants with experience in real property contract and/or administrative law

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill both current and/or future permanent vacancies.
