Accounting Analyst

Horizon Recruitment Inc.?has an excellent opportunity to?join a dynamic team as an?Accounting Analyst?with a great company based in the Lower Mainland. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a large, public company and develop skills in a variety of areas including financial reporting and cashflow analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and present financial information, ensuring that reports are accurate and easily understood.
• Assist with comprehensive accounting tasks, such as preparing monthly journal entries, reconciling general ledgers, and generating corporate financial reports.
• Coordinate intercompany activities involving loans, investments, and expense reimbursements.
• Handle global banking administration and ensure robust internal controls and procedures are in place and maintained.
• Help with long-term financial projects and system enhancements.
• Provide support for various accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Working towards an accounting designation (CPA) would be an asset
• 3 years of experience working in a fast paced, multi-entity environment
• Experience working with a larger ERP system would be an asset
• Intermediate Excel skills including experience with VLOOKUP and SUMIFS
• Ability to analyze complex business situations, summarize key issues, and make practical recommendations
• Excellent analytical skills and applies a creative approach to problem solving
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

Remuneration:

• $65-70k
