Welding Short-Course Instructor (Terrace)

The College of New Caledonia is seeking a welding instructor to teach the welding short course for the 4th Class Power Engineering Program.

Additional Appointment Details: Two-Week Welding Short Course for Power Engineering 4th Class program. Location is Coast Mountain College in Terrace, but the program is managed out of CNC Prince George.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Interprovincial Welding Qualification (Red Seal Endorsement) is required
• Five years experience working as a Journeyperson Welder in a number of industrial settings
• Preference will be given to those candidates who are current in the trade, with an Interprovincial Trades Qualification and who have proven teaching and/or supervisory experience
• Ability to deal effectively with students on an individual or group basis
• Completion of the Provincial Instructor’s Diploma Program (PIDP) would be considered an asset
